Ángela is a deaf woman expecting her first child with her hearing partner Héctor. Pregnancy and the birth of their daughter intensify questions that had previously remained unspoken between them: who adapts to whom, whose way of communicating is treated as “normal”, and what parenthood looks like in a world designed around hearing people.
Eva Libertad builds an intimate family story from the experience of a deaf protagonist without reducing her life to a diagnosis. The film explores love, motherhood, communication and the limits of good intentions.
