20th Festival of Tolerance

SAME FRAME. ANOTHER VIEW.

Three days of films that raise questions and encounters that keep them alive. From 8 to 10 October 2026 in Zadar, the 20th Festival of Tolerance brings together nineteen fiction, documentary and animated films, five discussions, two Educational Mornings, a musical welcome, a panel on Arbanasi heritage and Kateryna Chumachenko’s exhibition CLOSENESS. At the Providur’s and Rector’s Palaces, stories of home, freedom, memory and belonging meet audiences’ own experiences. Choose a screening, stay for a discussion and explore the other programmes. Admission to every programme is free.

A word from the director

“When human dignity is under threat, art cannot be content merely to move us; it must make indifference more difficult. After twenty editions, that remains the reason this festival exists.”
