CONCERT: KOSTA JAKIĆ (BE) – LIFE IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT MUSIC
Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 9:15 PM
Concert Hall of the Rector’s Palace

The concert by Belgian pianist Kosta Jakić serves as an artistic introduction to the world premiere of the documentary film Life Is Impossible Without Music.
The program combines classical and contemporary repertoire (Brahms, Chopin, Scriabin), and during the performance, a seven-minute trailer for the film will be shown ahead of its world premiere as part of the Festival of Tolerance.

After the concert, there will be a conversation with Kosta Jakić about the role of music in impossible, inhuman, unexpected, and extreme circumstances — the subject of his research conducted between 2022 and 2025 in Belgium.

This concert, part of the Beyond the Screen program, is dedicated to the idea that music is a space of survival and humanity — a way in which art becomes a shared language.
