When Olivia, her younger brother Tim and their mother lose their home, the twelve-year-old tries to protect Tim by turning their precarious new circumstances into a film adventure in which he is the hero. A move, their mother’s depression and responsibilities no child should carry force Olivia to grow up too quickly, yet neighbours and friends gradually form a network of solidarity.
This warm stop-motion feature approaches housing insecurity from a child’s perspective without softening its reality, while trusting in imagination, community and the possibility of rebuilding a sense of home.
